When I went to Oslo for my Visa interview, I visited the place where the bomb went off in July; but I also spent a lot of quality time with friends, out and about in the city. We did brunch and shopping in Bogstadveien, pizza and wine at Olaf Ryes Plass, shrimps & Cava at Lekteren (Akerbrygge), and clubbing at the Stratos rooftop. I also lunched by myself at Solli Plass, after finishing everything at the American Embassy, and I realize that there are a lot of new cafe’s in Oslo that weren’t there when I lived there in 2005-07. Yep, a lot of things have changed, and I’m pretty sure now that if/when I end up moving back to Norway, I’ll probably start out in Oslo, as it hopefully won’t feel too claustrophobic.
